WT I includes classroom and laboratory experiences that develop a variety of skills in oxy-fuel cutting and basic welding. Shielded metal arc welding and gas welding processes are also included in this course. Emphasis is placed on developing the skills necessary to comply with AWS industry standards to receive certifications.
WT II builds upon the knowledge and skills developed in Welding I by developing advanced welding skills in gas tungsten arc welding (TIG), pipe welding, and fabrication. Students may have the opportunity to apply their knowledge and use their skills in a work-based learning experience.
