About Health Science Education I

This course will prepare students to take the Indiana State Department of Health Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) examination. Students will also be able to work with the basic knowledge and skills to provide primary care in various healthcare facilities. Topics covered include confidentiality, infection control, basic nursing skills, and CPR. In addition, students will complete a Medical Terminology course. Medical terminology is used to precisely describe the human body components, processes, illnesses, medical procedures, and pharmacology.
